About Mushroom Growing
Mushroom Growing is a cultivation reference for people who grow mushrooms at home or on a small farm: a database of species with real growing parameters, free calculators that use those parameters, and two AI helpers built on the same data.
What you will find here
- Species database: temperature, humidity, substrate, timing, yield and common problems for each species, shown as the ranges growers actually work within, with sources and a confidence label.
- Free tools: calculators and planners for substrate, spawn, climate, yield, timelines, costs and storage. They read their species defaults from the same database, so numbers stay consistent.
- AI Photo Agronomist and AI Grow Consultant: helpers that answer from our data and say so when the data does not cover a question.
- Grow Journal: a private tracker that stays in your browser.
What we do not do
We do not publish generic articles, and we do not identify wild mushrooms or say whether any mushroom is safe to eat. We only cover species that people cultivate for food, medicine traditions or ornament, and we leave out psychoactive and poisonous species.
How the data is built
